Thu Aug 26, 2010 6:58 pm by Admin Sarcastic Gamer is proud to announce Extra Life, a 24 hour gaming marathon to help fund healing kids. Extra Life has partnered with Children’s Miracle Network this year to help keep the money you help to raise, right there in your own community. We are challenging our community and other gaming communities to band together for something big! Extra Life 2010 will take place on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 as gamers from all corners of the globe come together for a 24-hour video game marathon raising money to help heal kids. Extra Life raised more than $302,000.00 since its creation. This year, when you sign up to play video games for 24 hours on October 16th, 2010, you won’t just be raising money for kids. You’ll be supporting LOCAL kids and their families. Kids right in your own back yard. We're asking each gamer/hero to find four people to sponsor them at one dollar per hour for the duration. Be a hero! In a few simple steps you can make the difference in the lives of kids! HOW TO: 1. Sign up at: https://www.hospitalshelpingkids.org/ExtraLife/default.aspx 2. Select Team: Pandora’s Hope 3. Ask your friends and family to sponsor you 4. Play video games for 24 hours on October 16 (start time 8am) 5. If you can't play the full 24 hours on October 16th due to work or personal commitments, you can still participate! You can make up the time later, or even get ahead by playing some of your 24-hours BEFORE the event. About Pandora's Hope: "One day feeling lonely and impelled by her natural curiosity, Pandora opened the box, and all evils contained escaped and spread over the earth. She hastened to close the lid, but the whole contents of the box had escaped, except for one thing which lay at the bottom... and that was Hope." PMS Clan feels that it is important to use our renowned name to give back to the community. In 2004, we created a division of PMS Clan designed to help find ways to donate our time and resources for worthy causes, which we named Pandora's Hope: Gaming for a Cause initiative. Our mission is to help give back to the community by helping raise funds and awareness of notable causes. We can help custom tailor and promote events that help raise awareness and funds for worthy causes, while helping your company brand establish visibility in gaming community as key supporter. All events we do for clients under this umbrella will raise funds for a non-profit of their choice at a venue of their choice. PMS|H2O Clan is also dedicated to organizing and promoting charity causes that others may be coordinating.
