Topographical Overview
Avalanche Layout with Weapons & Equipment
Avalanche is a symmetrical map featuring two bases separated by a middle forerunner cave creating a “U” shaped battlefield. If the matchmaking is One sided(One Bomb, One CTF) Attacking team has UNSC vehicles, and the Defending team will have Covenant Vehicles as well as warthogs. See Zone Knowledge for locations of primary weapons and vehicles.
Callouts are also known as “Their Side” and “Our Side”

1. Light Base
Other names: Blue Base
There are 3 levels in the base, Upper level is flag spawn, and a man cannon. Second level has the teleporter and a ramp that takes you to the lower level of the base, on the second level up against to the wall are two battle rifles, one on each side, this is the level where you will capture the flag. The lower level of the base is where you’ll find a needler, frag grenades and a regenerator. The outside part of the base has an upper ledge, which will take you to either cliff side or keyhole.
2. Dark Base
Other names: Red Base
There are 3 levels in the base, Upper level is flag spawn, and a man cannon. 3. Blue Base 2
Other names: Blue Turret; Light Base Turret; Blue Rockets; Light Base Rockets, Rocket Spawn
On this side, there is a bridge connecting two rocks, the turret is located on the ledge allowing the players to see vehicles/players that will come around the “U” to their side, they can also watch people going into laser spawn. Located here is a rocket launcher, a battle rifle and a bubble can be found right out side the teleporter door. There is also a man cannon, that will launch you towards ghost spawn, allowing quick travel across the map.
4. Red Base 2
Other names: Red Turret; Dark Turret; Red Rockets; Dark Base Rockets, Rocket Spawn
The turret is located on the ledge allowing the players to see vehicles/players that will come around the “U” to their side, they can also watch people going into laser spawn. Located here is a rocket launcher, a battle rifle and a bubble can be found right out side the teleporter door. There is also a man cannon, that will launch you towards ghost spawn, allowing quick travel across the map.

Other names: Shotgun Spawn/Shotty/Top Mid
Center of map, heated spot for battles, shotgun is located here as well as a man cannon that takes you over the center pit to laser spawn. Middle Corridor between the two sides separating the base.
8. Dark Sniper
Other names: Red Sniper
Located outside the keyhole, here you’ll find Overshield, a battle rifle, two Plasma Grenades, as well as a pair of Spikers.
9. Light Sniper
Other names: Blue Sniper
Located outside the keyhole, here you’ll find Overshield, a battle rifle, two Plasma Grenades, as well as a pair of Spikers.
10. Vehicle Pit

Each base has a vehicle pit, its where the vehicles spawn and in between the two man cannons of the base.
11. Blue Camo
Other names: n/a
Next to tree on light side, brute shot can be found here along with a bubble shield.
12. Red Camo

Next to rock on dark side, brute shot and bubble shield can be found here.
13. Blue Man Cannon

The big man cannon on the ground which will lead you into the base, a Power Drain is located here

15. Center Pit
Other names: n/a
Located in the middle of the map, connecting keyhole with laser spawn, allows quick travel from one end of the map to the other.
16. Laser Spawn
Other names: Laser
Located in the middle of map, on the back side, near ghost spawn. Also located on each side of the laser is plasma grenades.
17. Ghost Spawn
Other names: Back Mid, Back “U”
This is where both turret man cannons land players, also a heated spot for battles. Next to the door leading you to laser is a battle rifle, and a trip mine.
